Greensted Church

Greensted Church, in the little town of Greensted, close Chipping Ongar in Essex, England, is the most seasoned wooden church on the planet, and likely the most established wooden structure in Europe as yet standing, but just to some extent, since few segments of its unique wooden structure remain. The oak dividers are frequently delegated remainders of a palisade church or a sort of early fight church, dated either to the mid-ninth or mid-eleventh century.

The Grade I recorded structure lies about a mile west of Chipping Ongar town focus. Its full title is The Church of St Andrew, Greensted-juxta-Ongar. It is, be that as it may, generally referred to just as Greensted Church. Greensted is as yet a working church and holds benefits each week. The volume of traveler visits is light, yet unfaltering. The church was highlighted on a British postage stamp issued in 1972.
